Help! The transaction log is full error in SSIS Execute SQL Task when I execute a DELETE SQL que

Dear all:

I had got the below error when I execute a DELETE SQL query in SSIS Execute SQL Task :

Error: 0xC002F210 at DelAFKO, Execute SQL Task: Executing the query "DELETE FROM [CQMS_SAP].[dbo].[AFKO]" failed with the following error: "The transaction log for database 'CQMS_SAP' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.

But my disk has large as more than 6 GB space, and I query the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases which return value as "NOTHING".

So this confused me, any one has any experience on this?

Lets be clear, the transaction log and management is a SQL engine issue, and nothing to do with SSIS. You could run the same SQL in any query submission tool, and would fail in the same manner.

Just because you have 6GB of free disk space does not mean that disk space is available to the log file. What are the growth options? I strongly believe is very bad practice to rely on auto-growth of data or log files. It can seriously impact performance of a system, so should be actively managed rather than forgotten.

HELP! Can't delete merge replication subscribers in 2005

My client is using SQL 2005 Workgroup Edition. About 18-20 users will be
merge replication subscribers over the Internet with web synchronization.
During testing, several subscriptions were created and they will not drop
with the normal drop stored procedures.
This is an urgent problem because with my bogus, testing subscriptions
there, we have reached the 25 subscription limit and we cannot get their
final users subscribed.
I've seen others having this problem but haven't seen the resolution. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

I take it you have tried to drop them using sp_dropmergesubscription and
sp_dropmergepullsubscription correct?
If so you should be able to drop them by deleting the contents of the
following tables on your subscriber db.

Help! Bad insert to a table which I can't delete now.

I made a mistake in my insert statement, the insert to destination table is
the same as the Source from table. Oops! Now I can't truncate, delete this
table at all. Any way to get rid of it and start again?

Help with what should be a simple delete?

I have the following code that will not work... It produces ths message:

DELETE * from Customer where Cust_ID = MATWAR61849

Error #-2147217904

Error desc. -> [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 1.

Cust_ID=request.querystring("ID")
SQLstmt = "DELETE * from Customer where Cust_ID = " & Cust_ID
Set RS = conn.execute(SQLstmt)

I think the problem is that the variable is not being interpreted as a string, but rather a number.

In the database, Cust_ID is defined as a text entry.

What do I need to do to fix this? Yes, I know I am a newbie.
